Global Business Pages is my idea of a means by which the world’s impoverished are assured of a passage to rich and poor markets, equal to that enjoyed by long established businesses. Therefore, Global Business Pages is aimed at creating a service that goes beyond generating business and leads for conventional advertisers and users.

My partners join me in saying, and I believe you will agree that Global Business Pages is on course to achieving its purpose, which is to provide the well known as well as the unknown small or disadvantaged producers, buyers and suppliers with an identical and affordable means to promote their business, products or services.

I will be the first to admit that I have taken courage for this venture from my ‘Buyers and Sellers Guide’ first published in India in 1983. At the time, my idea was to provide much needed exposure for producers, buyers and sellers across the country and indeed around the world. However, it soon became evident that cost, barred a majority of small producers from taking full advantage of my trade promotion opportunity.

I remain convinced that small manufacturers would always benefit from free or affordable institutional advertising, which would keep their products and services on show in the big buyers’ markets.

I savoured a feeling that given the best information about products made by Indian businessmen, worldwide buyers could be more inclined to rank the country as a trading equal.

Accepting that, what was true for India and its small businessmen is also real for Africa, several countries in Asia, the Caribbean Basin and some of the Americas, I broadened my vision and set my sights on producing this Global Business Directory – Global Business Pages.
